also, I found some thread online about this topic i don't know if it's true or not, they say that the Chinese woman got a deal with a demon, regarding about her daughter, and hello kitty was the result of those worthless demon thingy.
regardless, I think characters always a have an origin in their characteristics,
as a beginner digital artist I often make character with some certain behavior and characteristics similar to mine, other digital artist or any other artists always do the same thing.
