A. Tell whether the statement is true or false. Write your answers on the space provided.

1. A verb's voice describes the relationship of the action (verb) to the participants
(subject and object).

2. Active voice of the verb happens if the subject is being acted upon by the vero.

3. The verb is in the passive voice if the subject performs the action denoted by the
verb.

4. Active voice is used if they needed their sentences to be simple, short and to focus
on the subject.

5. Passive voice is used if the subject is unknown, irrelevant or obvious and the tous
is on the action rather than the doer of the action.

6. Both simple past tense and past perfect tense happened in the past.

7. Simple past tense happened first before the simple past.
e. If there is only one action in the sentence, it is wrong to use past perfect tense.

9. Simple past tense is formed by adding had and the past participle of the verb.

10. All verbs form their past tense by adding-dor-ed.
