The capital amount invested by A is Rs. 2,50,000.
Given,
B joined A after 6 months by investing Rs. 50000.
After 1 year A and B share the profit in the ratio of 10:1.
To Find,
Amount invested by A in the business.
Solution,
Let, The amount invested by A be 'X'
Amount invested by A is for a Time period of 1 year or 12 months.
A’s investment = X ×12= 12X.
The amount invested by B = 50,000
Amount invested by B for a Time period of 6 months.
B’s investment = 50,000 x 6 = 3,00,000
So,
A’s amount / B’s amount = ratio of profits
[tex]\frac{12X}{3,00,000}[/tex] = [tex]\frac{10}{1}[/tex]
X = [tex]\frac{10*3,00,000}{12}[/tex]
X = 2,50,000.
So, A started with the amount of Rs 2,50,000.
