A saturated solution contains the maximum amount of solute that will dissolve at that temperature. Any further addition of solute will result in undissolved solid on the bottom of the container. An unsaturated solution contains less than the maximum amount of solute that can be dissolved at that temperature.
Question:
What do you think are the differences and similarities between saturated, unsaturated and supersaturated solution?

QUESTION
What do you think are the differences and similarities between saturated, unsaturated and supersaturated solution?
ANSWERS
• DIFFERENCES
Obviously, saturated solution is the sort of solution that can no longer dissolve any solute, unsaturated solution on the other hand is a solution that can still dissolve a certain amount of solute and supersaturated solution, are basically saturated solution that can transcend and dissolve more solute that are beyond its capability, that's why it is "super" saturated.
• SIMILARITIES
Saturated, unsaturated and supersaturated solution, are all mixtures, they have varying amount of solute but have similar amount of solvent (since this is the basis of determining the amount of solute that can be dissolved).
