Object distance (u)= -5m (always negative) radius of curvature C = 3m focal length = 3/2 = 1.5m. with formula we know that ,
1/v +1/u = 1/f
1/v = 1/1.5 - 1/-5
1/v = -5 - 1.5 /-7.5
1/v = -6.5/-7.5
v = 1.15m we must find magnification, m= -v/u = -1.15/-5 =0.23 the image is formed on the opposite side of the object.so it will be virtual and erect. and 0.23 is very small where the object is placed beyond C.
