Acceleration = a m/s² ( constant)
Initial velocity at the top = u = 0 m/s
( starting from rest )
Time = t seconds.
Using , s = ut + (½)at²
We get ,
s = (½)at²
=> s is directly proportional to t²
=> s1/s2 = (t1/t2)² ..... (1)
Further ,
To cover "s" it takes time = 4s
Let to cover "s/4" it takes time = n seconds
Using (1) ,
[(s/4)/s] = (n/4)²
On solving we get ,
n = 2 seconds .
