t2=distance between y and x /20
we let distance between x and y=d

now average speed=total distance covered by body /total time
=(d+d)/(t1 +t2)
=2d/(d/10+d/20)
=2 x 10 x 20/(20+10)
=400/30=40/3 m/s
hence average speed =40/3 m/s
