14.the slide is controlled by turning two knobs instead of having to move it manually

5.) Diaphragm - Regulates the amount of light on the specimen.
6.) Eyepiece - Contains the ocular lens.
7.) Fine adjustment - Moves the stage slightly to sharpen the image.
8.) High power objective - Focuses minute details on slide; provides a magnification of 40x.
9.) Light source - provides light for viewing the image.
10.) Low power objective - 1st objective used for focusing; provides a magnification of 4x (10x of no Medium power objective).
11.) Scanning objective - provides the lowest magnification power of all objective lenses.
12.) Nosepiece - Holds the high and low power objective can be rotated to change magnification.
13.) Stage - supports the slide being observed.
14.) Stage clips - Holds slide firmly in place. The flat platform that supports the slides.
