> In sexual reproduction there are two types of fertilization, Internal and external fertilization.
Internal fertilization:
• It is a fertilization where sex cells or gametes unite inside the female parent. The union of sex cells are inside the female organism.
ex;
• Dogs, cats, chickens, cows, goats and Sheep reproduce sexually but their gametes unite inside the female parents body.
External fertilization:
• Is a fertilization where the union of gametes unite outside the body. Water is a place where external fertilization is practiced by organisms.
ex;
• Frogs and fishes reproduce sexually but their gametes unite outside the body, animals practice external fertilization in bodies of water like ponds, lakes , seas and oceans. It is a fertilization where the female parent will lay eggs underwater and male parents will release it’s sex cells so the eggs will be matured and will develop to new offsprings.
