She is very popular even in nearby barangays because of her Special Suman (rice cake). One day a loyal costumer ask her what are the ingredients of her well-known delicacy. Aling Tinay, without hesitation, enumerated them. These are glutinous rice, sugar, salt, coconut meat, coconut milk, caramel sauce, and water. The loyal costumer said those were usual ingredients of a suman, and persisted in knowing what Aling Tinay's secret ingredient is. She said to the costumer, "My secret ingredient is the pure love and passion I have for cooking. I mixed these with the other ingredients to make a simple Suman, a mixture that brings not only satisfaction for a hungry stomach but also joy in its simplicity."
