1. Alex went to the mall to buy some things for his science project. He spent 5/8 of his money in Store A and 1/5 of the remainder in Store B.
If he spent P60.00 in Store B, how much money did he have at start? How much money did he have left?

2. Maureen baked some cupcakes. She gave 1/5 of the cakes to her friends and sold 1/2 of the remainder. If she had 10 cakes left, how many did she sell?

3. Tintin paid 1/4 of her money for a pillow and 1/2 of the remainder for a tablecloth. Altogether she spent P500.00. How much money does she have left?

4. Lisabelle saves 2/5 of her daily allowance. She spends the rest for lunch and snacks. If she saves P80.00 of her allowance, how much is her daily allowance?

5. Maybel bought 18 apples. She used 1/2 of them to make apple pie. One-third (1/3) of the apples were mixed with other fruits to make salad. How many apples were left.
