3. Last December 31, 2019, The Department of Health (DOH), in
close coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO)
began to monitor the development of pneumonia cases in Wuhan,
China. In January 12, 2020, DOH investigated the report of a 5-
year-old pneumonia case in Cebu City. By March 2020, a high
number of confirmed cases of COVID has been reported in the
Philippines.
