October 2022 1 10 Report
Given below are examples of how to simplify radicals. Identify if the given
process below is TRUE or FALSE, then state your reason. For those you identified as
false, make it true by writing the correct part of the solution.
[YOU WILL BE MARKED BRAINLIEST IF YOU GOT THE MOST ACCURATE ANSWER]

Simplify: True Or False: If false, write the correct part of
the solution.
1.)∛16
= ∛16 = ∛8 * ∛2
= ∛2^3 * ∛2
= 2 * ∛2
= ∛16 = 2∛2

Simplify: 8^√m^12,
where m > 0.

2.) 8^√m^12
= (m^12)^1/8
= m^12/8
= m^3/2
= 8^√m^12 = √m^3

Simplify:
6^√1/2s, where s ≠ 0.

3.)
6^√1/2s =
6^√1/2s * 2^5 s^5/ 2^5 s^5
= 6^√2^5s^5 / 2^6s^6
= 6^√2^5s^5 / 6^√2^6s^6
= 6^√1 / 2s= 6^√32s^5/2s
