If I were the minister of science and technology I would bring about a revolution of research and development, innovation and advancement in our country. Science has the potential to solve all of man’s problems and challenges provided it is put to right use. But this potential is not being explored. Man is busy misusing science. For example, our planet earth has so much of Uranium, Thorium, Plutonium, etc. that if used optimally, abundant power can be generated for all the people living in all the countries of the planet. The sad thing is man’s focus is on creating deadly nuclear weapons out of these wonderful resources given to him by beneficent Nature. I would ensure optimal use of these pollution-free resources to create clean energy in the country. I would also have better methods of harnessing renewable resources of energy. I would have vehicles invented that would run on clean fuels. I would make these vehicles available to all the people at subsidy.
All the problems pertaining to pollution, environmental degradation, etc. can be solved using science. All the cities of the country would be converted into smart cities using science; all the sewage, garbage, effluents, toxic fumes coming out of chimneys would be turned into non-polluting substances using science. I would have converter machines built that would absorb excessive amount of poisonous and green house gases into themselves and convert them into oxygen and release back into the atmosphere.
Since our country is surrounded by hostile neighboring countries, I would have most advanced surveillance, defensive and offensive weapons installed along the border along these hostile countries. I would have such an impregnable fence built around the country on land, in water, and in air that all the nefarious plans of the enemy countries would be foiled. I would encourage research and development of sciences from school level by connecting them with the most advanced institutes of the nation. Thus India would become world leader in science and technology in all spheres.
If I was the minister of science and technology, I would have first of all asked all the schools to have smart classes and proper technologies for easy learning. This could have been done if the rates of the requirements such as smart boards , projectors would have decreased. I would have asked the higher ministers to increase the number of factories involved in making these things. Science is everything . Without development of science we would have not been able to communicate with people sitting far apart from us. Through sciences we develop new technologies which help us in our day to day lives. The most commonly used technology is our brand new smart phones. People of each and every age are using smart phones. The only difference is in the usage of this technology. Small children use it for playing games, teenagers use it for collecting information on their subjects and the elderly people use it for entertainment, business and what not. Mobile phones has become an integral part of all of ours lives . If we would have not developed in sciences , was it possible to create something new. Everyday something or other is being created. How are we able to do all things ? The simple answer is because of advancement in the fields of sciences and technologies. Being a minister is in itself a very big job. If I was the minister of science and technology, I would have definitely tried hard to make my country on the peak of development in the fields of science and technology. Everyone loves new technologies such as the new applications that we see on play store these days. Because of advancement in technology, we are able to experience any adventure just by sitting in our rooms by the help of PS4 and all. Technology has also helped us in the fields of education.
