Gita can do !/3 of work in 6 days and Sita can do 1/2 of the work in 3 days . In how many days can they finish the job together?

Sita working 8 hours a day does the job in 6 days

So working 4 hours a day will take 12 days

So Sita in 1 day does 1/12 of the work in 4 hours

Similarly in 1 day Gita does 1/9 of the work in 4 hours

So together in 1 day they do 1/12+1/9 = 21/108 = 7/36 of the work

So they will finish the job in 36/7 days OR 5.14 days ANSWER
