answer 1: if a spring is used to pull the cart up, the spring is fully stretched. If a rubber band is used the rubber band is fully stretched.
Explanation: the spring and the rubber gets fully stretched because when you pull the cart up there is gravitational force pulling the cart down. that's why when you pull the cart up the rubber band/ spring gets fully stretched because of the gravitational force and also because of the force you are giving to pull the cart up.
